This program aims to merge efforts between the Mukah Health Department and Social Security Organisations (SOSCO) in enhancing community well-being. SOCSO (Social Security Organisation), also known as PERKESO (Pertubuhan Keselamatan Sosial), is a Malaysian government agency established to provide social security protection to Malaysian workers under the Employees’ Social Security Act, 1969. The main functions of SOCSO include the registration of employers and employees, collection of contributions from employers and employees, payment of benefits to workers and/or their dependents in cases of tragedy, and raising awareness about employee safety and health.
The Mukah Health Department is a government body in Malaysia responsible for managing and overseeing public health services in the Mukah Division of Sarawak. Its roles include implementing health programs, providing medical and health services, managing disease prevention and control initiatives, promoting community health, and ensuring the well-being of the local population. It works to enhance health standards and improve the quality of life for residents in Mukah by coordinating with other health agencies and communities to address public health concerns.
